Coinbase to Be the Sole Cryptocurrency Firm Advertising During 2026 Super Bowl
BlockBeats News, February 9th, According to Decrypt, during the 60th edition of the Super Bowl LX held on Sunday, Coinbase became the only cryptocurrency company to run a major ad. Compared to the "Crypto Bowl" in 2022, where multiple crypto companies participated, this year saw a significant reduction in industry marketing. Coinbase's ad this time lasted one minute and featured karaoke-style lyrics of the Backstreet Boys' 1997 single "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)."
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong stated that the ad aimed to promote economic freedom and alleviate polarization through a choir performance. Analysts pointed out that this advertising strategy reflects the crypto industry's cautious approach post-market consolidation, with marketing efforts shifting from early celebrity endorsements and high cashback to compliance and trust-building.
