Chairman of U.S. public company watchdog resigns at request of SEC chief
Odaily News Erica Williams, chair of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), has resigned after SEC Chairman Paul Atkins asked her to resign. Her last working day will be July 22, according to an email Williams sent to PCAOB staff. Williams began serving as PCAOB chair in January 2022 and was reappointed in June 2024.
